The game changer... as it turned out.
The first control valve is launched in the legendary A123 series from Daimler-Benz.
In 1974, Mack & Schneider was awarded the contract for one of our first dual control valves by the then Daimler-Benz Aktiengesellschaft. At that time, the legendary A123 series did not yet have an electric actuator, but a classic mechanical adjustment by lever. The purpose of the valve was to provide separate heating for the driver and passenger sides.
Fortunately, the product platform really took off with the electrification of the drivetrain. In 2010, we brought this type of valve system into the 21st century with a LIN bus-capable drive and have been supplying it to a wide variety of model ranges and OEMs worldwide ever since.
