1998-2014
Somehow there is always succession.
In our case, the handover to the 4th generation took place without any hard cuts.
We wouldn't be a family business if there wasn't a change at the top every few years. The age structure in the Bachofer family allowed us the luxury of an overlapping, piecemeal succession without hard cuts.
The handover from the 3rd to the 4th generation took more than 10 years. Tobias Bachofer joined the company in 1998 and worked side by side with his father Hubert and his uncle Wolfgang. Steffen Bachofer followed in 2005, Vanessa Bachofer in 2009. 5 Bachofers from 2 generations were thus operationally and cooperatively active in the company until 2014.
From 2014, the 4th generation took over the management completely and released Hubert and Wolfgang into their well-deserved retirement - or whatever you might call it as an entrepreneur.
