Our valve from Mack & Schneider GmbH Kunststoff- und Fluidtechnik has made it into the Mercedes-Benz Museum!
As part of the Tomorrow XX technology program, valve housings and valve covers were injection molded from material containing 100% and 50% recycled content (rPA66), respectively. We subjected the parts to our usual rigorous testing procedures. This was followed by comprehensive testing at the OEM.
The valve housing must withstand a pressure of 0.01 to 5 bar and a temperature range of -40 to +130 degrees Celsius in contact with coolant. Technically, it works with recycled material. However, series production is still pending.
