Founded as the Mack & Schneider horse-shoe stud factory by Gottlob Mack (master smith) and Heinrich Schneider (merchant and industrialist)
1945
Reinhold Bachofer (Heinrich Schneider's son-in-law) is the second generation to take over the management
1950s / '60s
Production of horse-shoe studs, spikes, sanitary fittings 1964
Manufacturing starts using injection moulding
1968
Introduction of the first brass water valve
1978
Hubert and Wolfgang Bachofer become the third generation of managers
1990
Development of the first toggle-lever inlet valve for cisterns to be made entirely of plastic
1994
Second works built and opened in Mengersgereuth-Hämmern (Thuringia)
2001
First electrically driven water valve developed and introduced
2009
Jig-making unit launched with own staff
2013 / 2014
Filderstadt site extended, ultra-modern production facility with its own water laboratory; rigs for various tests (pressure change and shake tests)

Steffen, Tobias and Vanessa Bachofer are the fourth generation to take on the management; the company turns 80 years old in 2014
